“A Jewish believer in Jesus examines the festivals of Leviticus 23, their history, their present
celebration in the synagogue and home, and their prophetic fulfillment. In Leviticus 23 God
presents seven annual sacred feasts of Israel. At first this passage seems to simply list
Israel's holy days, but the more one studies the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, the
more one realizes that this passage is more than just a list of holy days; it is actually an
outline of God's calendar from eternity to eternity. “Israel's Holy Days in Type and Prophecy”
is a brief but thorough review.”

Israel Holy Days in Type and Prophesy edition by Daniel Fuchs Religion Spirituality eBooks

This is a short book on the explanation of Israel’s holy days. It also uncovers some information, such as Psalms that were sang at different places in Scripture, why the pause to talk about not reaping the corners of the harvest fields happens while the Biblical feasts are being described in Leviticus 23, some different calendars that Jewish people use, why the shofar sometimes stays hidden and it not used by Jewish people until the first day of Elul, etc. There is an interesting diagram on page 13 during the introduction, showing how some of the feasts were fulfilled and how some are prophesied to be fulfilled in the future; it lists Bible verses on that diagram to prove the fulfillments and the future fulfillments. The book usually designates one chapter per feast but adds some chapters here and there to expand on certain topics.

This book contained a lot of new information that I had not picked up on before. It opened up my mind to learn that the first Passover explained in the Bible in Exodus 12 was the Egyptian Passover and that the provision to keep Passover permanent is explained in Deuteronomy 16:2. People dressed differently during the Egyptian Passover than they did at the Passover Yeshua was at, in which this book explains that they wore holiday garments during the feast he was at (meaning the last Passover he was a part of I think). Passover is also supposed to be a meal eaten together by people who are at peace with one another, which I had not thought about before.

I believe this book will benefit many people who want to learn more about the Jewish Biblical feasts and what they mean today. I plan to keep it handy as the different Jewish Biblical feasts approach to reread the sections pertaining to each of the feasts.

I received a free copy of this book from Chosen People Ministries for this review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
